Scientist – Drug Discovery and Technology Development

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our Biology Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new cell-based assays and perform pharmacodynamics studies to enhance the development of innovative small molecule drugs.

Qualifications:

The candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or related field with three or more years of laboratory experience.

Extensive hands-on experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques is required. Solid expertise with transfection of mammalian and bacterial cells, gene cloning, isolation and purification of DNA and RNA from mammalian and bacterial cells, FACS analysis, quantitative real time PCR, protein analysis by Western blots and immunoprecipitation is required. Skills in fluorescence microscopy, ELISA, Luminex and histology, are a plus. Excellent attention to detail a must.

The candidate will have the ability to independently design experiments, generate, analyze, and present data, and will excel at working in a team-oriented environment.
